Limpets Festival

The Limpets Feast (limpet mollusc very popular in Madeira) is a recent event that aims to gather locals, tourists and anyone who would like a taste of this traditional delicacy.
The sunny village of Paul do Mar (fishermen village) puts on the colours of the so called “Arraiais” for three consecutive evenings, to host music bands and local business stalls where you can taste typical flavours. “Lapas” (Limpets in Portuguese), of course, are the main ingredient!
